Sappho

$34

This eye catcher will capture the attention of anyone near your garden. Sappho rhododendron has an original dark purple pattern against a bright white flower, and creates incredible trusses. We love this rhododendron and we think you will too.

Sappho grows to over 5' tall at maturity, takes full sun to partial shade, and is hardy to -15°F when protected from windchill. Water weekly as needed expect blooms mid-season, usually starting around April. Pro tip: be sure to cut this plant back substantially after each bloom cycle to help it branch more and become less leggy.

If you like the blooms of Sappho, we encourage customers to also check out Calsap and Sappho x Tweedy Bird, which we think offer a nicer foliage and growth habit.
