Yellow Hammer has flowers described as Empire Yellow, which form multiple bud clusters for trusses, and narrow 1" elliptic green leaves. This lovely hybrid rhododendron is hardy to 0°F when protected from windchill and can grow 4' to 6' tall.
We recommend placing Yellow Hammer in full sun to partial shade. Anticipate blooms as early as March. It has a somewhat naturally leggy growth habit, and brings unique character to gardens and landscapes.
