Whirlaway is a hybrid rhododendron with buttery-white to pink blossoms, reddish anthers and a delicate orange-gold pattern on the dorsal. There is a lot going on with the color and texture combinations atop narrower medium green leaves. It prefers full sun to partial shade, can grow to 4' tall and is hardy to 10°F when protected from windchill. Generally a midseason bloomer.
