Viscy rhododendron has lovely apricot-yellow blooms that open to reveal a strong dark-red pattern. Loose trusses display a rose color hue on the outside of the flowers for extra character. Blooming typically starts to occur around April depending on growing conditions. Its leaves are a glossy dark green and they tend to be insect resistant. 

Viscy is a dwarf hybrid with an even growth habit that reaches around 3' tall x 3' wide at maturity. Plant in full sun to partial shade and in well-draining soil. Hardy to -10°F when protected from windchill. This cultivar is hard to find but we are proud to offer it at Rocky Knoll Farm.
