Nepeta Walker's Low Catmint
Walker's Low Catmint is a great summer perennial as it does well in full sun and boasts long-blooming lavender-blue flowers. However, like most plants it will do better with some afternoon shade, especially in areas with humidity. A favorite for bees, butterflies and hummingbirds, it can grow to about 2' tall and spread to about 2' to 3' wide.
Part of the mint family, this plant has subtly fragrant silvery foliage. Hardy to -25°F when protected from windchill. Like rhododendrons and azaleas, you will want to make sure to plant in well-draining soil. We strongly suggest you check out our planting tutorial here, which can help ensure that your Nepeta thrives.
Pro tip: Cut back blossoms after blooming to ensure beautiful color the coming spring through fall.
