The simple name of this hybrid rhododendron doesn't unpack the complexity of pink that pops from the lovely trusses of Van. Each truss can have 13-15 blossoms that are 4 1/2" across, with richly pink tones and a reddish freckle pattern on the dorsal. Can grow to 5' tall and is hardy to -5°F when protected from windchill. Give full sun to partial shade and watch for blooms late-midseason.
