Stachys officinalis 'Hummelo'

$26

Bright pink floral spikes stand tall from the textured green foliage of this vibrant perennial. Stachys officinalis Hummelo generally shows its blooms through summer and fall, depending on growing conditions. Cutting back spent blooms can help promote subsequent blooming. This plant grows in a nice clump form that can spread over time to create an attractive ground cover. It is also a great choice for slopes, borders, beds, banks, edging and meadows. Also a nice choice for floral arrangements.

Hummelo is easy to grow but does best in well-draining soil, and plenty of sun. It is drought tolerant once established, as well as deer and rabbit resistant. This plant can reach about 2' tall x 2' wide and is cold hardy to -25°F when protected from windchill.
