This high chromosome count rhododendron grows faster than many other hybrids and can reach 6' or taller. It is hardy to -10°F when protected from windchill and boasts thick leaves and large flowers of rich pink to red hues, with a deep red freckle pattern from the throat through the dorsal. Give it filtered to full sun, water weekly as needed, and watch for blooms usually around May.
