This classic Asian species rhododendron has lovely white flowers with that can have a pink to lavender hue, and a unique red pattern on the dorsal. The showy pistils are like long eyelashes, loads of character! We really like the contrast in the brown and reddish stems to the pointed green leaves.
R. yunnanense is a true beauty that can grow to over 6' tall at maturity. It blooms right around April depending on growing conditions. Water weekly as needed and give full sun to partial shade. Hardy to 0° F.
