This uncommon rhododendron species is rarely available in nurseries, yet so lovely with its delicately colored blossoms that range from lavender to white to pink. We like the rosy red pattern on the upper dorsal as well as the distinct narrow, pointed foliage with geometrically accented edges.
R. searsiae is a great looking plant that can grow to 6' tall. Hardy to -5°F when protected from windchill. Plant in partial shade to full sun and watch for blossoms around April.
