Rhododendron lysolepis is an adorable dwarf cultivar with violet to blue flowers that tend to show in April, depending on growing conditions. It originates from high in the mountains of Szechwan, and it is considered to be a naturally occurring hybrid of two species. This plant is an excellent choice for adding color and character to rock gardens and small growing areas.
