Rocky Knoll Farm
R. linearifolium Spider Azalea

Very unique. This species rhododendron that originated in Japan has a most unusual foliage and blossoms. An incredibly rich pink to lavender flower is accented by the highly charismatic and textured fluffy narrow leaves. The buds unwind like a corkscrew, which makes it a fascinating plant to watch throughout its blooming process.
Hardy to around 10°F when protected from windchill, this beauty can start blooming as early as March, but we have seen a wide window for its season. As a dwarf varietal, it typically doesn't grow beyond 3' tall, which makes this an excellent plant to add texture and nuance to your garden. We recommend planting in partial shade.
