Also know commonly as just Rhododendron keleticum, this great little species is both tiny and lovely. It has beautiful small ovate foliage, small purple blooms, and a very compact growth habit. Blooming typically occurs May-June, depending on growing conditions. This adorable plant is a recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society. 

R. calostrotum subsp. keleticum typically grows to just under 1' tall x 1' wide, which makes it an excellent choice for small growing areas, accents, and rock gardens. Place it in full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil. Hardy to 0°F when protected from windchill.
