Prism's Sister

This incredible hybrid rhododendron boasts purple-magenta frilled blooms that open to a white throat. The dark leopard-like pattern on the upper dorsal and bright pistil complete a stunning appearance for each flower. This plant is a prolific bloomer and has full rounded trusses. Prism's Sister was hybridized here in Oregon by Nolan Blansit, and we are the only known commercial propagator of this special cultivar.

Blooming starts as early as April and goes through May, depending on growing conditions. Our blooms photos were taking in mid-April. Prism's Sister has an upright growth pattern and reaches about 6' tall at maturity. You will want to place these beauties in full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil. Hardy to 0°F when protected from windchill.
