Rocky Knoll Farm
Phygelius aequalis ‘Yellow Trumpet’
Also known as 'Cape Fuchsia,' this hardy perennial has unique creamy-yellow tubular blooms that show in summer and can last into the fall. This attractive plant with rich green foliage grows to about 3' tall x 3' wide when mature. We recommend cutting back to about 6'' in early spring, right after the last winter frost, which can help stimulate a strong new seasonal growth habit. Hummingbirds, butterflies, bees and birds love these plants.
Excellent for borders, container growing, mass planting, and cut floral arrangements. This uncommon cultivar is an eye-catcher, and tends to make for a great conversation piece. Easy to grow, we recommend placing it in full sun to partial shade. Hardy to 0°F when protected from windchill.
