The name says it all in terms of the pink and white color combination on the ruffled flowers, which are accented with a great red freckle pattern on the dorsal. We love the crimson stems that lead to bright yellowish-green buds and spines that hoist the dark green leaves. Peppermint Twist has such a great color combo when it's not blooming.
Plant this mid-sized rhododendron in partial shade to full sun and anticipate blooms around April, depending on growing conditions. Peppermint Twist grows to about 4' tall over ten years. It is hardy to -10°F when protected from windchill.
