Vibrant rose-pink blossoms with a darker red pattern on the dorsal lobe make this rhododendron come to life during its spring blooms, usually around April-May. Our bloom photos were taken mid-April. Wondering how to pronounce the name? It's Dutch and it has won multiple awards there, and for good reason. This plant is lovely and has a nice rounded growth habit, reaching 4' tall over. Give it full sun to partial shade. Cold hardy to -10°F when protected from windchill.
