Buddleia globosa 'Orange Ball Butterfly Bush'

$34

This spectacular broadleaf semi-evergreen shrub comes to life with its clusters of bright orange blossoms. The globose blooms are even fragrant, and generally start showing in May and into summer, depending on growing conditions.

Orange Ball Butterfly Bush is aptly named, as it definitely attracts butterflies, along with hummingbirds and bees. It is easy to grow, drought tolerant once established, and known to be deer resistant. It grows to around 10'-15' tall X 8'-12' wide, and we recommend pruning spent blooms to promote a healthy growth habit and new blooms.

This showstopper shrub is not invasive and does best in full sun, but some afternoon shade can be helpful in hot climates. You will want to plant these in well-draining soil, especially to help them get established. It does well in coastal conditions and is hardy to 0°F when protected from windchill.

Our tall 1 gallon plants are rooted, fertilized and ready to burst with new growth. Some plants grow very tall and change in size rapidly across seasons. If you order a plant that is very tall at the time, we will trim it as needed for shipping.
