The lovely lavender-pink flowers will delight against the unique smaller and lightly felted leaves. The foliage has incredible dark brown to crimson hues. We love recommending cultivars like Northern Starburst to customers who are looking for a rhododendron that is an attraction outside of its bloom season.  

We suggest planting the smaller medium-sized rhododendron in partial shade and watch for blooms in April and possibly as early as March. Northern Starburst is a very strong hybrid plant that is hardy to an impressive -25°F when protected from windchill. Grows to around 4' tall at maturity.
