Nelson's Purple
$38
Nelson's Purple is a unique and rare rhododendron hybrid with small purple flowers that form a rounded truss, like Arctic Tern or Milky Way...but purple! Blooms typically occur April-May, depending on growing conditions. Our bloom photos were taken at the end of April. It has narrow green-grey foliage for an additional element of character.
Nelson's Purple is a low growing rhododendron that reaches around 18" tall x 18" wide at maturity. It is a great choice for small growing areas and accent color and character. Place in full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil. Hardy to -5°F when protected from windchill.
