Mönch Aster x frikartii

Also known as Frikart's Aster, this beautiful perennial is one of a kind. Lovely lavender-blue flowers with a yellow button center come to life each summer and into fall. Its rich green foliage creates an ideal backdrop to compliment the fetching blossoms. Butterflies and bees will thank you for planting them, yet they are deer and rabbit resistant.

Mönch Aster is easy to grow and it does best in full sun. You will want to plant in well-draining soil. The bushy clusters can grow up to 3' tall x 3' wide, and they are excellent for beds, borders, slopes and floral arrangements. Drought tolerant once established, and hardy to -20°F when protected from windchill.
