Rocky Knoll Farm
Maricee (R. sargentianum)
$36
This unique rhododendron has creamy white tubular blossoms with ruffled edges that beckon for attention. The flowers make up small attractive and prolific trusses that typically show in late April and into May, depending on growing conditions. This lepidote dwarf is selected from the species R. sargentianum, and it has a compact growth habit with small dark and glossy green leaves.
Maricee is an excellent choice for rock gardens, beds, edges, small growing areas, and character accents. Like most rhododendrons, it does best in full sun to partial shade. It is hardy to -5°F when protected against windchill. These little beauties only grwo to 2' tall at maturity.
