Maddie Mae is a lovely dwarf rhododendron with full trusses of creamy white blossoms that are accented with magenta pink hues. The showy flowers have an attractive crimson-brown freckle pattern and a less significant dark red color at the base of the throat. The medium-sized bright green foliage creates a nice skirting for the large trusses.
Maddie Mae can grow to about 3' tall and should be planted in full sun to partial shade. We find they usually bloom around April and into May, depending on growing conditions. Hardy to 0°F when protected from windchill.
