Arctostaphylos uva-ursi 'Massachusetts' Kinnikinnick

$29

Actually native to and naturalized here in Oregon, the smart ruby red new stems of this attractive evergreen Manzanita are adorned with colorful green foliage. The leaves are highlighted with bright edges to make the shape more pronounced. It has showy bell-shaped pink blossoms in spring, and then red berries in fall. The berries are great at attracting birds.

This delightful shrub is excellent for ground cover as it grows to about 1' tall and can spread to around 10' wide. Also great for rock gardens, edges, borders and container growing. Kinnikinnick shrubs require well-draining soil, and they do well in full sun to partial shade. They are drought tolerant once established, low maintenance, and hardy to -45°F when protected from windchill.
