We love this dwarf hybrid rhododendron for its special purple-red blossoms that sit atop textured green foliage, often with yellowish stems. Hot Dawn has very nice rounded trusses of about 16-22 flowers each.
This beauty usually does best in partial shade to full sun and blooms midseason. Hot Dawn grows to 3' tall at maturity. It is hardy to -15°F when protected from windchill.
