Hameln Fountain Grass has a graceful form, with its plumed flower spikes that arch over time, as well as its mounding growth habit. This lovely ornamental grass has colorful green blades in spring and summer that turn to a bright white-gold in fall. This is a very showy grass as well, and it gives off different looks in different light. It is no surprise that Pennisetum alopecuroides is the winner of Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society. It attracts butterflies as well!
