Great Scott is a great name for a great plant. This lovely, yet hard to find rhododendron is available at Rocky Knoll Farm (when we can keep it in stock)! Brilliant large white blooms make up full trusses, which stand out with the incredible deep burgundy to purple toned pattern on the upper dorsal of each blossom. You can get an idea of what these beautiful blossoms look like from our photos, but what may be hard to discern is that each flower can be up to 5" across.
This hybrid cultivar can grow to about 6' tall and 6' wide depending on growing conditions. Give it full sun to partial shade and watch for blooms to start showing midseason (our pictures were taken in late April). Hardy to -5°F when protected from windchill.
