Great Balls of Fire is a rhododendron that is not readily available but boasts a watermelon reddish-pink blossoms. This plant will bring distinctive color to your garden, with the large trusses of frilly flowers, and a dark crimson pattern on the dorsal lobe. The elliptic foliage has distinct edges and it darkens as it matures to create a wonderful skirting. The Hardy to 0°F when protected from windchill and can grow to 6' tall, this hybrid shows its bright blooms midseason.
