The rich lavender-purple flowers of Grape Crush New England Aster with wonderful textured centers stand at attention starting in summer and through fall, depending on growing conditions. This lovely perennial has a mounded growth habit and grows to around 2' tall x 3' wide. It an excellent choice for borders, slopes, edges, beds and showy floral arrangements.
Butterflies really like this plant. This aster prefers full sun and well-draining soil, especially to help it take root. You do not need to prune except to cut back any dead stems in winter before the last frost. Hardy to -35°F when protected from windchill.
