Rocky Knoll Farm
Goldfinger
$36
Goldfinger rhododendron has lovely yellow flowers with a coppery pattern that gets more pronounced on the upper dorsal. Blooming generally begins around April depending on growing conditions. Buds start with a really nice reddish-rose hue on the exterior that eventually fades. This plant has exceptionally glossy green leaves that look great year-round, and truly accentuate its frilly trusses.
Note: This plant is different than Goldflimmer, which is a variegated rhododendron called Goldfinger in some other countries. Goldfinger grows to around 4' tall x 4' wide at maturity. Place it in full sun to partial shade and and well-draining soil. Hardy to -25°F when protected from windchill.
