Genista lydia

Genista lydia, also known as Lydian Broom, is a highly floriferous and compact deciduous shrub that produces an abundance of bright yellow, pea-like flowers in late spring and early summer. It's  curving stems and small leaves make this plant attractive even when it is not in bloom. Genista lydia's tough and showy nature makes it an ideal choice for hanging over walls, baskets, ground covers, and rock gardens.

Drought-proof, heat tolerant, and virtually disease-free, this plant is a low-maintenance addition to any garden. With a dense mounding growth habit and a maximum size of 2' tall by 2' wide, it is a versatile and beautiful option for any landscape. They great plant likes full sun and is cold hardy to -30°F when protected from windchill.
