The combination of white bell-shaped blossoms with pale pink accents and deep red freckled dorsal allow this dwarf hybrid to make a bright accent in any garden. This rhododendron is hardy to -10°F when protected against windchill, and blooms around May. We suggest planting Gartendirektor Rieger in partial shade to full sun. American Rhododendron Society indicates that this plant grows to 3' tall but the ones in our pictures are closer to 4' tall.
