Brilliant dark pink wavy blossoms with crimson red spotting on the upper dorsal make full trusses of this lovely rhododendron. This prolific bloomer is dynamic, and its robust thick green foliage makes for an attractive skirting. It often blooms around April-May, depending on growing conditions, our bloom photos were taken at the end of April.
El Camino can grow to 5' tall when mature, and can have a full growth habit if trimmed after blooms are spent each season. It is cold hardy to -5°F when protected from windchill, and does well in full sun to partial shade.
