Daphne x burkwoodii 'Carol Mackie'

$38

This special daphne is prized for its outstanding variegated foliage that becomes a canvas for notably fragrant clusters of pink flowers in spring. A second bloom can occur in fall depending on growing conditions. It even produces a showy ornamental red berries in fall which makes this unique shrub even more special. This plant is hard to find but we are proud to offer it when we can keep it in stock.

You will want to plant Carol Mackie in well-draining soil that is preferably pH neutral. It is also best to plant so that the rootball is proud of the soil line to ensure proper drainage. Place in an area that gets partial shade; afternoon shade is best in warmer climates. This plant is known to be drought tolerant once established, but do not fertilize or transplant. It can grow to around 3' tall x 4' wide at maturity. Hardy to -25°F when protected from windchill.
