Coastal Sugar is a more compact and fragrant rhododendron than its relative, Coastal Spice. The flowers show a range of pink hues and the dark green foliage create a beautiful combination of color. Blooms around April, similar to Coastal Spice and can also be planted in partial shade to full sun.

We recommend taking a close look at the incredible foliage. The new growth with its copper hairs (a form of indumentum) is incredible, and brings so much character to any garden. This hybrid can grow to 5' in height. Hardy to 10°F when protected against windchill.
