This splendid California Lilac shows off exceptional lavender-violet blossoms in spring. Butterflies and bees love its bountiful fragrant flowers that adorn small evergreen foliage. Valley Violet has a compact growth habit that is great for small growing areas. 

It will do best in full sun to partial sun, but it is known for being heat tolerant and drought tolerant once established. Afternoon shade can be beneficial for hotter climates. This plant can handle some clay soil, but it needs to be well-draining. It grows to 3' tall x 4' wide at maturity and it is deer resistant. Hardy to 10°F when protected from windchill.
