Also known as Orange Sedge or Red Switch Grass, Carex testacea Prairie Fire Also known as Orange Sedge or Red Switch Grass, this evergreen ornamental grass adds eye-catching contrast and dynamic colors to any garden or landscape. It has an attractive mounding growth habit with bbright orange and olive swooping foiage that grows up to 2' tall x 2' wide.

Easy to grow and low maintenance, Prairie Fire is both drought and salt tolerant once established. It is also deer resistant. Plant in well-draining soil with full sun, but these plants can handle some shade. Hardy to 0°F when protected from windchill.
