Also known as Red Rooster Sedge, this excellent ornamental grass maintains a copper toned foliage with hints of red hues. It's tufted growth habit displays neatly textured leaves with upright and sweeping form for superb character in gardens and landscapes. It is also great for container growing and floral arrangements.
Red Rooster is drought tolerant once established, and prefers full sun. Plant in well-draining soil to get it established, and plan for growth to around 24" tall x 18" wide. Cutting back should be done in early spring, after the last frost. Cold hardy to 0°F when protected from windchill.
