This excellent calluna delights with four seasons of interest, color and intrigue. Showing yellow-gold to orange color in summer, it changes to vibrant red hues in fall to winter. Very easy to grow, Wickwar Flame can reach 15" in height and around 30" in width. These plants prefer well-draining soil and can do well in full sun, but afternoon shade is recommended for hot climates. Prune back to the old wood stems annually after the last frost to promote a healthier spring growth habit. Hardy to -25°F when protected from windchill.
