Kinlochruel is a great heather with bright green foliage that turns yellow and gold in autumn. In summer it shows of dynamic and prolific bright white double flowers, which makes for a delightful spectacle. This Scotch heather was actually found in Scotland, and then moved into commercial propagation. This plant is the winner of Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society.

Kinlochruel heather likes full sun, but some afternoon shade can be beneficial in hot or humid climates. It is easy to grow and drought tolerant once established. It is a great choice for rock gardens, accents, mass plantings, and various landscapes. This adorable heather grows to around 12" tall x 18" wide, and is cold hardy to -20°F when protected from windchill.
