A lovely evergreen Scotch Heather, Amethyst boasts buds befitting the name with white accents. The buds appear in summer and can last into winter depending on where it is planted. The flowers don't open but that won't stop the bees from visiting this excellent shrub.

Amethyst heather is deer resistant and hardy to -20°F when protected from windchill. It prefers lots of sun and needs well-draining soil. It has an upright and bushy growth habit and can reach around 15" tall and 15" wide, making it an excellent choice for small growing area accents, rock gardens, and planter growing. This heather is really good for both cut and dried flower arrangements.
