Calluna Allegro Heather

The excellent crimson flower buds that adorn densely branched foliage create a distinctly attractive looking heather. The blooms can present themselves summer through fall depending where planted. The evergreen foliage can gain a lovely bronze hue in winter, creating great color throughout the year. Growing to just under 2' tall and up to 2' wide, this shrub needs well-draining soil and prefers full sun. Easy to grow and generally deer-resistant, Allegro Heather is good for ground cover as it spreads naturally. Hardy to -15°F when protected from windchill.
