This evergreen shrub features striking, bright red flower spikes that resemble a bottlebrush. The blooms appear in spring and may continue through summer depending on growing conditions. The foliage is narrow, pointed, and lemon-scented when crushed. Crimson Bottlebrush is a great choice for hedges, container growing, urban gardens, and mass planting.
This striking plant is attractive to hummingbirds, butterflies, and birds. It is also deer resistant and drought tolerant once established. Crimson Bottle brush grows to around 15' tall at maturity and can eventually grow to tree form of around 25'. Place in well-draining soil and full sun to light shade. Hardy to 25°F when protected from windchill.
