Rocky Knoll Farm
The brilliant magenta to purple blossoms of this great evergreen azalea are special and make for a fantastic display against the bright green foliage canvas. The color of the spring blossoms is intense and usually start to show around April, depending on where planted (our bloom photos were taken in mid-April). Like most azaleas and rhododendrons, you will want to make sure this beauty has well-draining soil. Plant in full sun to partial filtered shade and water weekly or more as needed, as long as there is never standing water. Hardy to -20° F when protected from windchill. Generally a vigorous grower, Blue Danube can reach about 4' tall and spread to about 5' wide.
