If you are looking for a red blooming rhododendron then you need look no further than Belva’s Joy. This hybridized plant boasts full red color in its trusses and generally blooms in early mid-season in moderate to full sun, with dark, elongated foliage. Hardy to 5°F when protected from windchill.
This dwarf hybrid grows to about 3' tall x 3' wide at maturity. Like most of the rhododendron genus, it requires well-draining (preferably acidic) soil.
