Arisaema consanguineum (Himalayan Cobra Lily)
Arisaema consanguineum is a wonderful hard-to-find tuberous perennial that brings exceptional character to gardens and landscapes. The unmistakably unique hooded blooms have dark purple hues that are accented with attractive green and white stripe patterns. Its flowers start to emerge in late spring to early summer atop a substantial stem that can reach up to 3' tall. Bright reddish seed pods follow in late summer, which adds to the display! Bloom and seed times can vary depending on growing conditions.
This showy Cobra Lily is easy to grow and pretty much disease-free. It is an excellent choice for shade gardens or areas with at least partial shade. We recommend planting these bulbs in fall or spring with at least a half-dozen bulbs or more. Arisaema consanguineum requires well-draining soil, which is especially important to help them get established. Be sure to not let the bulbs dry out if you are not planting promptly after receiving. Cold hardy to -15°F when protected from windchill.
We do not ship bulbs via ground shipping during summer and winter months unless you have tepid conditions. Please contact us for shipping options if you need them shipped during hot or cold conditions.
