Achillea New Vintage Red

The bright red summer blooms of this delightful perennial really stand out against the attractive bright green yarrow foliage. Blooms can go well into fall depending on growing conditions, and both butterflies and bees love this plant. It is deer and rabbit resistant, and a great choice for borders, beds, container growing and urban gardens. It is also drought tolerant once established.

This plant prefers full sun and should be planted in well-draining soil, especially to help young plants establish rooting. New Vintage Red can reach about 2' tall x 1' wide, and should be planted about 1' apart. Hardy to -25°F when protected from windchill. We recommend removing spent blooms throughout the blooming season to help foster repeat flowering. It is also good to cut back more aggressively in early spring after the last frost to help stimulate a fuller and more compact growth habit.
