Rocky Knoll Farm

Pieris japonica 'Cavatine'

$27

Pieris Cavatine is a profuse bloomer of white bell flowers atop attractive dark evergreen foliage. Its flowers are nicely fragrant and typically show throughout spring, depending on growing conditions. Loved by butterflies and bees, Cavatine is an excellent choice for hedgerows, rock gardens, beds and mass planting. It is a winner of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society, and one of our favorite Pieris plants!

Low maintenance and easy to grow, Cavatine is known to be mostly deer resistant. It has a compact growth habit and can reach around 3' tall x 3' wide at maturity. Partial shade is best but it can take full sun in cooler climates. You will want to plant these beauties in well-draining (preferably acidic) soil. Cold hardy to -10°F when protected from windchill.
