Easy to grow, Firebird shows off its special blossoms starting as early as spring and continues to bloom into autumn, depending on growing conditions. Hummingbirds and bees love this perennial delight. This penstemon is known to be heat and drought tolerant once established. 

Reaching up to 3' tall x 2' wide. Place this plant in full sun, but it can take some shade. We recommend trimming back after the first bloom to stimulate increased flowering through summer. It is also good to trim in autumn after the last blooms are spent, which will help promote a healthier growth habit next season. Hardy to -10°F when protected from windchill.
